Coca Cola
On 16 September 2016, one of Sydney’s most recognisable icons was re-illuminated after a 9 month refurbishment with energy efficient and RGB Controllable LED pixel neon.
The brief was to create a ‘like for like’ replacement to be in keeping with the 40 year old beloved Sydney sign. 1129 RGB LED neon was chosen as the perfect choice due to its traditional look, energy efficiency and durability.
The 17,880 RGB pixels, spread over the 2.2km of LED neon, are all controlled by the powerful, yet simple LED CTRL software. Data signals are delivered to the 180 controllers through approx 4.2km of networking cable.
The sign measures 40m in width and 12m in height, making this one of the largest signs in the southern hemisphere.
